Picture 1 is our series 400 driver unit that has been dissembled and all parts except for chrome piece has been glass beaded and inspected. Amazingly all looks to be useable.

Picture 2 is the inner sheave after glass beading and a coat of Dry Moly lube sprayed on shaft. The overspray on sheave will wear off pretty quick. If you want to get crazy just tape it off before spraying. I don’t know if I will be using this anytime soon so at least it won’t rust.

Picture 3 is outer sheave. This is just glass beaded and sprayed with clear. MAKE SURE the brass bushing is there!! I put a light coat of grease on bushing and some on the weights and shoulder bolts-anywhere things wear . Remember this thing is constantly moving if you are riding. Dry areas will wear but don’t go overboard on the lube-it will just sling off and make a mess!!

Picture 4 is finished unit. It will work as good as it did 35 years ago. Remember to put the bolts in as shown and use Blue Loctite on threads.
